Well, onto my cartoon reminisce!
Ducktales- Although I don't know for sure, this is probably one of the few Disney cartoon series that has ever made more than one episode worth of episodes (excluding ones made just for saturday mornings). I remember this series very well, probably because I have the Ducktales the Movie on video as well as owning several comic... err... graphic novels from the great Carl Barks! That Rosa guy was pretty good too. I personally liked Uncle Scrooge, he was the best character! I mean, of course his stingy habits got to all of us, but that's the whole basis of the storyline! I always wondered what it would be like to swim in gold... wouldn't that hurt??
Inspector Gadget- NOW, this was one great show! I know that my luck has been described as "uncanny" but this guy here makes mine look like nothing! I know that Disney is coming out with a movie this summer, but a few things bother me about it. I don't mind that it is a live-action movie, but 1) Brain (the dog) isn't in it as far as the previews went, and 2) Gadget finds love. That's killing the show! In anycase, I am THERE! Want to know what I always wanted from the show though? No, not the myriad gadgets, but Penny's computer book! Where'd she get that?! I WANT THAT!!!!!!!!!! Also, you know those letters that Chief Quimby (sad how I still remember his name, ne?) sends out? How does he get them to self-destruct after it is read? I mean... I wouldn't mind knowing how to do that either! And especially with the quantity of letters I write... ONE LAST THING... how come no one ever picks up the MAD modes of transportation when each vehicle has a HUGE MAD logo on it?
Lady Lovely Locks- The only thing that ever bothered me about this show was the title character's name. It's LONG! Other than that, I don't remember much about the show itself, only that I loved it. I have the doll of her, and had three of the pixietales (or was that pixieTAILS?).
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles- Who can forget about this show... for all those series and comic books it got into. And of course, the many movies and merchandising from it. I really enjoyed the first season or so, but then it all went downhill from there when they started making it more violent, rather than fun. Of course, everyone had their own favorite turtle, mine was Donatello. :o)
Jem- What can I say about this series? It was great! Especially the great music that they had, but I can't say that I remembered much about this show either. I just remember one episode where Jem was crying because she didn't win the Grammy for some catagory (probably "Best Song" or something). Oh yeah, I also remembered how much I wished I wanted those earings that she wore.... funny how my ears still aren't pierced. I just realized... how ironic that Sailor Mars star earings too.... and I DO have to get my ears pierced for Halloween....
