George after laying.

Iguanas look pretty bad after they have laid. They emerge from their nest boxes covered in dirt or and, dark from the stress, and very scrawny. It can be terrifying for the owner to see their pet in this condition. Clean her up and offer her food and drink immediately and set her in a basking area to warm up.

Make a vet appointment soon to have her X-rayed to make sure all the eggs were laid. Egg-binding can be serious! Post-egging care ought to include a calcium-rich diet, rest, and a stronger calcium supplement like Neocalglucon to help her recover the calcium lost during the egging experience.
