Apple - Cinnamon Vodka
1 bottle of vodka
2 or 3 apples cored and peeled
1 jar of cinnamon sticks
Core and peel the apples. I prefer the "Red Delicious" variety; but feel free to use any kind. Cut the apples into quarters and add to a plastic or glass container that can be sealed.
Add the jar of cinnamon sticks to the container. I use one jar per two quarters of vodka.
Fill the container to the top with your preferred brand of vodka. Put the lid on the container and let it set for at least one week. Two would be even better.
After the prescribed "one week"...
Remove the apple remains and cinnamon sticks. Pour the liquid through a coffee filter two or three times to remove the sediment. You may then bottle it in those cutesy little decorative bottles to give as gifts or do like I do. Schedule one week of vacation and disappear with your nearly acquired "nectar of the gods".
