| Psalms 51:1-3 Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your lovingkindness; According to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin. |

| Matthew 6:14-15 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and Mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. |

Mercy is the backup Ace in the hole. Mercy is the escape clause from God, given to follow us, watch over our backsides and keep us from stumping our big toe. Mercy is wonderful! Without the mercy of God in my life (and yours) we would truly be God forsaken. Let Us Pray... |
| The Prayer Our Father, who is above all, who is the only true and living God, Holy is your name. The name that is above all other names and the name by which all things are made (Psalms 138:2). "O LORD, God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and obey his commands, let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you this day. Lord, I know also that you are not a common god of man's imaginative thoughts. You are no Santa Clause God, catering to the wants of mankind like some sort of fairy-puppet. No, you are a Holy God, righteous and true, fair and just, real and interactive and above all, full of mercy and grace. I know too, that your ways and standards are different from those of man, they are of a higher and more equitable standard (Isaiah 55:7-11). You are God Omnipotent and you are not politically incorrect, or bias, or subject to change without further notice. As a matter of fact, I know from your word that you change not (Malachi 3:6). |
