Welcome to our prediction game!
The prediction game gives you the opportunity to predict on games from the Premier League. It also gives you the opportunity to win prizes. The first place will get a jersey for the Portuguese National or a jersey for one of the Premier League teams, the second place will get a scarf for the Portuguese NT or for one of the teams in the Premier League, the third place will get a soccer T-shirt. The winners will be those with the most overall number predictions correct.
Prediction Game rules
The prediction game will start in the 2002/2003 season which will start around August (the date will be announced soon). The predictions must be made the date and hour established each week; usually right before the first game of each round. The game will be played on a weekly basis except for the weeks when there won�t be any games in the Premier League. I suggest you come in every Sunday night (ET time), to find out what games will be played for the following week. The results for each week will be posted only after the last game is played (sometimes on a Monday or Tuesday). So it will be possible for you to predict before you know the previous week�s results. The results for the weekly games and overall results will be posted here and in the forum.
In order to predict, all you have to do is go to the Prediction Forum and predict on the open thread for that week.
Game Format
The format for the game is as follows. If you predict that the home team will win you place a "1" next to the game. If you think that the teams will tie you place an "X" next to that game. If you think that the away team will win you place a "2" next to that game.
Example:
V. Guimaraes- Alverca 1 (means you think V. Guimaraes will win)
Sporting- Porto X (means you think the teams will tie)
Varzim- Maritimo 2 (means you think Maritimo will win)
