Dedicated To The Best Transportation Support Group In Vietnam ~ A Co.
A Note from one of the Rome Runners
I think I can speak for the men of Co. A, that we were very proud to be
the largest heavy haul trucking company in the Army at the time. Fifty
10-tons. But, we were even more proud to move and work with the bravest Army Engineers the world has ever seen since D-Day.
The three line companies of the Land~Clearing Engineers.
The Jungle Eaters,Land Barons, and the Rome Plows.

Off Loading line company in Michelin Rubber Plantaion in Cambodia during incursion.
NOTE: Rome Runner marking on front of 10-ton hood,
outside rubber plantaion in Cambodia
Off Loading Cat D-9s. Note: Plow on left has a bent blade, caused by hitting a land mine during
a cut.
Entering Quan Loi. Chopper pads on left. Told that A Co.
would haul that line company into Cambodia
the next morning.
Most people seemed to like the quote on this plow.
Later called the Freedom Plow.
Off Loading 984th in Dau Tiang. Note: 984th
on small company water trailer. Believe
security  is an elemnet of the 11th ACR.
This line company is actually cutting our way out to a main road
after picking them up after the cut.
