Surf Spot: Hollows (8/22/98)
Wave Height: 6 feet

Comments:
Hurricane Bonnie turns Hollows contest day into an awesome day. Surf 6 to sometimes 7 feet tubey and very makeable, and glassy. Definitely one of the best surf days this year.

here's some stories I've experienced and heard of myself. Saturday January, 24, 1998. First big day at Wilderness of the year. The surf was around 7 to 10 foot face. Around 12 to 15 people outside but spreadout all over the beach.

Thursday February 12, 1998. Huge day at Wildo waves 10-12 foot face, with some waves as big as 15 feet. Rumors fly that the day before it had been 18 feet and some waves might of been as big as 20 feet. Bridges was good around these days too.

Thurday February 26, 1998. Solar eclipse and cold front bring huge swell to some of the best spots around the island. Pressure point had waves 8-12 feet face, tubey but closeouts. Marias had waves up to 15 feet with only one guy able to make to the outsid . Corcega has a 7 foot mostly closeout shorebreak were a friend of mine and me got drilled to the sand a couple of times. The day after that the surf was still big, wildo had surf 7-10 feet but choppy and all Rincon was big. Couple of people got hurt at R ncon including a friend who was smacked against the reef twice costing him 14 stitches on the face and some other cuts and bruises. Rumors fly that a man died at Tres Palmas.

Monday April 13, 1998. Swell brings some nice waves to pressure point around 8 feet, with wildo up to 9 feet.
