SPRING CLEANING: Last month we had an email question about cleaning blinds. So we decided to add some instructions on how to spring clean with safe and effective cleaners which you can make yourself at home with products you may already have on hand. (The answer to blind cleaning is to vacuum the larger ones where they hang and wash smaller blinds in a bathtub filled with warm water and ammonia.)
REMOVING STAINS FROM VINYL SIDING: Most stains can be removed from siding by using common household cleaners.This site gets you a list of stains and the kind of product to use to remove them.
LAWN CARE:This site tells you when to mow, water and fertilize your lawn.
FENCE POSTS REPAIR: Tells how to stabilize your fence posts using the existing posts.
INSTALLING TRACK LIGHTING: Here's a project I am planning to do in my basement this spring. This site tells you what tools you'll need and how to remove existing lighting. Check with your local home improvement store for the prices and sizes for track lighting.
BUYING HIKING BOOTS: This is to see if you're paying attention. When you have finished all that yard and house work, go out and enjoy these spring days. Here's a site that will tell you how to buy the right boot. Now go out and have fun.!
