Hi! Welcome to my homepage.

My name is Hai Pham. I am a four year Computer Science student in Carleton University (Ottawa, Canada).

I came to Canada on October 1994. Ever since then, I've interested in computer. I ended up in Carleton after wasting a year studying Business Accounting in Algonquinc College and another year doing Business Administration in Ottawa U. Anyway, I am settled now; I really like what I am doing. Computer in general is a fascinating field. There are just so many cool technology; and I am kind of interested in them all (distributed computing, languages, wireless, ...) The one thing I mostly regret is that I didn't have a chance to take an AI course.

I spent most of my time coding small projects. Right now I am working on a Web Message System. Basically it's similar to an web-based email system like Yahoo, Hotmail... The different thing is it's message oriented. The objective is to create a system that can organize messages efficiently. The system uses EJBs to manage persistence and JSP pages to interface with the server components. You will also find in there a set of unit tests. I am practicingExtreme Programming :). In case you haven't heard of it, it's a new approach to software development that's much more lightweight compared to tradition models.

I am also interested in Vietnamese Literature. I 've been collection various pieces for a few year. I think my collection now is one of the biggest online Vietnamese Literature library.
