This is Pepper. She was our first cat. We got Pepper in December of ' 94. She is such a good kitty. She is very shy when company comes over. Pepper sleeps in our bed at night, right next to my pillow. When she was a kitten, she used to sleep on my head! I broke her of that habit though. ( pictured left )This is Pepper when we first brought her home. The other two pictures are Pepper now! |

Scooter "Big-Man" |

Scooter is lucky to be alive. My Father-in-law found him in some woods in Mississippi when he was a tiny kitten. Someone had just dumped him off. Poor Scooter was overrun by fleas that had almost killed him. He was taken to the vet and loved unconditionally after that. He still never got the "cat thing" mastered until he moved in with us a few years ago. Being around other cats taught him how to act like a cat. When he was found he probably weighed about 2 lbs or less....now, 8 years later, he weighs 18 lbs. He is a very muscular cat. When company visits us, he is eager to investigate them and any belongings in which they have brought! Scooter definately dislikes going to the vet. It is difficult to get him into his cat carrier. I have battle scars to prove it! (actually they've healed up, but he scratches trying to get away, not to be mean) Over all....he is a good cat! Definately "manly". |

This is my daughter's cat. She named him Bluey because his gray fur looks blue in the sunlight. Me, I call him Nerhmal. If any of you are familiar with Garfield you will understand. There is a gray kitten called Nerhmal..."the world's cutest kitten". That is Nerhmal too! He is too funny. After our first dog died, Nerhmal tried to take her place. He played with her tennis ball, slept where she used to sleep, chewed on rawhide chewies. He even did this after we got our second dog. He was only 5 months old when she died..and he was still terrified of her. He is an attention getter..the household clown. Talkative...wow! People want to take him home. When we first got him he loved to help me with my computer. He has since outgrown that...thank goodness. He weighs at LEAST 13 pounds...probably more now. He is trying to be as big as Scooter I think! He terrorizes Pepper because he is almost twice her weight now. Pepper can run faster though...and jump higher. Nerhmal has never really gotten the knack of jumping. He can't jump any higher than 2 feet, unless he really tries. He has always been that way. For a long time he couldn't meow...he squeaked. It is still not a full fledged meow...it's more like a big squeak! Maybe I should have named him Squeaker! |
