ROB DELANEY
Rob was featured in Toby Keith's television special Shock N Y'all as seen on Country Music Television (CMT).

RYAN CUTCHIN
Ryan has been quoted in two separate New York Times stories, on April 27, 2003 and again July 20, 2003.

SEAN KIRLEY
Sean has been seen as the U.S. Army spokesman in Baghdad on NBC Nightly News as well as being quoted in the newspaper.

CRAIG GEORGE
Craig was featured in the June 2002 edition of Soldier's Magazine, in the article "Reaching Out to the Bereaved" (this link will take you to the Soldier's Magazine website).

AUGUSTUS TUTU
Augustus is the Deputy PAO for 2nd Infantry Division, and receives a byline in every issue of the Indianhead paper.

BILL DOUGHERTY
Doc has appeared in three issues of Iraqi Destiny, the 101st Infantry Division's newsletter from Iraq.


3rd Battalion (OCS), 11th Infantry Regiment Change of Command

At 0900 hours, 9 July 1999 on York Field, LTC Bruce W. Anderson turned over command of the 3rd Battalion (OCS), 11th Infantry Regiment to LTC David Osborne. LTC Anderson was the Commander of 3rd Battalion for the past two years, including the time that OCS Class 5-98 attended. Good luck to LTC Anderson in the future! Congratulations to the following awardees:

David Vandevander graduated with both the high PT score and the highest GPA in his Finance OBC.

Michael Smith received the Kilbourne Award for Leadership at Signal OBC.

Holli (Kline) Bennett graduated with both the high PT score and received the Steven D. Mantia Leadership Award at Engineer OBC.

Wayne Ludwig received the Leadership Award, earned the Gold GMEB, and was named to the Commandant's List at Military Police OBC.

Ann Clinton earned the Gold GMEB and was named to the Commandant's List at Military Police OBC.

John Stoneberg earned the Gold GMEB at Military Police OBC.



Lynda and Garth Gerhart would like to announce the birth of their daughter, Brogan Nora Gerhart on June 7, 1999 at 3:55 pm. Brogan is 5 lbs 8 oz and is their first child. Congratulations!



Angela Cook has formally changed her name to Brammell.



Holli Kline and John Bennett were married in November, 1998. Holli has now formally changed her name to Bennett.



MIOBC Class Graduates
Military Intelligence Officer Basic Course 99-1 graduated at Ft. Huachuca, AZ on March 19, 1999. OCS 5-98 alumni included 2LTs B. Brown, T. Brown, Cawood, Clyburn, Cook, Cruce, Diggs, Franklin (Bright), Gerhart, C. Miller, Piotrowski, Qureishi, Ross, Schumacher, and Whittenburg. 2LT Cruce received both the Iron Man award (for highest PT score on the extended scale) and the LTG Potts award (for leadership, academics, and PT). 2LT Ross was named the Distinguished Academic Graduate. 2LTs T. Brown, Cawood, Ross, and Schumacher all qualified for the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (Gold), as well as 2LTs Whittenburg (Silver), and Cook (Bronze). Stay tuned for pictures from the graduation ceremony...



Congratulations to 2LT Diggs and his wife, Michelle, on the birth of their third child, Brittany Taylor Diggs. She was born on 23 Dec 98 at 0900, weighing in at 8 lbs, 4 oz and 21 inches long. 2LT Diggs went on to say she has all 10 toes and 10 fingers, and that both mother and child are healthy and doing fine!



CONGRATULATIONS to Candace (Bright) and Randy Franklin on their marriage on September 23, 1998!!!




Jeff Diggs compled Air Assault school, class 45-99 on June 28, 1999.
