Hi and welcome to the FAQS section. If you didn't know, FAQS stands for Frequently asked Questions. These are the answers to all the little questions you pokefans have. Hope they will solve what you've been wondering about for days :)
What are pokemon?
Pokemon are little animals/monsters that are able to learn moves and abilities to fight other pokemon. The Pokemon have been controlled by mankind and are now being captured and trained. They are contained in either Poke Balls, Great Balls, Ultra Ball, Safari Balls or Master Balls, each a better quality ball than the proceeder. Also there are many pokemon, over 170 known species know today. Many new pokemon are being discovered and brought to the GameBoy game Pokemon Gold/Silver as soon as possible.
How can I get pokemon?
Pokemon Red/Blue/Pinball can be purchesed at your local video game or department store. I got my games at Wal-Mart, a nice place to buy pokemon stuff. Note: you cannot really capture or buy real pokemon animals, since THEY ARE FAKE AND DO NOT EXIST!!!
How much is Pokemon?
The suggested retail price for Pokemon Red/Blue/Pinball is $29.99 American, $39.99 Canadian

What system is pokemon for?
Pokemon Red/Blue games are for Game Boy, while Pokemon Pinball is for Game Boy Color (although it will work with the original Game Boy and Game Boy Pocket systems)
In your opinion, what is the best starter pokemon?
Although they are all good, I believe Charmander to be the best since he is a good fighter, learns great moves and is so cool! Also he evolves into Charizard, so getting him is a good choice.
How do I get outside pokemon to obey me?
You need to fight with your own pokemon first in order to get the required badge. Depending on what badge you need and what level the outsider pokemon is, you need to get a badge that is equal or over to the outsider's level so it will obey you.
Can I use a stone more than once?
No, you must buy another
What is the best ball to use?
The Master Ball. It is 100%, so it will catch the pokemon no matter what. Although you are only suppose to get one from the Silph Co. Prestident, it is possible to clone them with Missingno...
I've heard of a 151st pokemon, who is this and where can I catch it?
The 151st pokemon, Mew, is a psychic-type pokemon. It is one of the best in the game, and is only availiable to gamers through the use of a cheating device (eg. GameShark, Game Genie) and cannot be captured without one, despite the many rumors on the net.
Who and what is Missingno.?
Missingno. is a glitch in the game's programming, and is the leftover parts of a pokemon that Nintendo took out of the game, along with 17 others. They wanted a nice, even number like 150, so they decided to take out 17 of the original 167 pokemon and Missingno., Mew and the "Pokegods" are leftovers from those pokemon. In the game, don't catch Missingno. because he will make the graphics in your game grainy and inverted, not the way you'd want them.
What do I do when I catch all 150 pokemon?
Go to the man at Pokemon Mansion in Celadon City who is in the Game Freak room, not working on a computer. Talk to him and you will recieve your diploma, qualifying you that you are a pokemon master. After that, go back and explore...
