That's right, Missingno. I have been all over the web for information and such on this pokemon. Some don't know whether to classify Missingno. as a glitch or a real pokemon. I myself think it is a real pokemon, otherwise how could the name Missingno. appear on the screen? He, or she (who knows) is a bird type and water type his attacks are: Water gun, Water gun (<--not a mistake) and Sky attack. I have encountered many missingno., ranging from level 0 to level 173. To catch Missingno., you must have a pokemon with the SURF ability and one with the FLY ability. First, go to Viridian City. Remember the old man who would'nt let you pass 'cause he did'nt have his coffee? Well he is up now and very nice. Talk to him (he looks like a gambler) and he will ask you "Are you in a hurry?". You should respond with a "no". Then it will seem as if you are going to battle him, but actually he goes and catches himself a L5 Weedle. When you return to you and him talking, he will finish off what he has to say. Then , Don't move!!! Go to your pokemon with the FLY ability and fly to Cinnibar island. You should appear in front of the Pokecenter there. Now walk to your RIGHT and use your pokemon with the SURF ability. Surf up and down the side of the island by going on half-land, and half-water. After a while (about 15 seconds or so) your screen should flash like you are battling someone (hint:if the screen takes off into a radar thing where it goes around clockwise, you definetely have a Missingno.) The screen should go black for about 5 seconds, and Missingno. will appear!!! But, use a weak pokemon on him to catch him since his defense is REALLY low, almost as low as Magikarp's. When you do catch him, it might not say you caught him and the battle may continue. If that happens, just run away. When you finally get Missingno. , go to Pokemon and see him. His little icon beside his name will be a townsman, and when you go to it, it will flash between that and a thing that looks like Kirby. You can then look at his attributes, but not his picture because he dosent have one! BUT.. THIS COULD SCREW UP YOUR SAVED GAME!!! When battling with him, the game will go screwy and the pictures of the Pokemon will be crazy looking. Also, your hall of fame will be screwed up, even if you dont catch a Missingno., just find it. But personally I like the screwed up hall of fame. You see things like level 451 Magikarps and stuff. Every time I go to it, I can see a L208 Mew!!! It rocks. Also there types will be screwed up, like type 1: Pokemaniac and Type 2: Leech seed, stuff like that. And the names will go funny, like Me;w'oaks parcel676'pokepoke. Seriousely. But if you experience problems in battle, just release Missingno. and all will be fine. Also, Missingno. does not have a pokedex entry. Sorry!!
