Njanear's M1 Garand Clip Collection

Thank you for stopping by.  Unfortunately, I have elected to allow this site to become static at this point in time for various reasons, but I still believe that it can be of use, especially to new collectors.  I do wish you luck with your collecting and hope that it brings you much joy.  Regards.

Talking about a different type of collection!  A few years ago, after buying some ammo and loose clips for my newly acquired IHC, I was sitting down and loading the clips when I noticed the different clip markings.  Of course, my curiousity was raised and then I had to sort them out to see what I had.  Out of about 20 clips, I came up with 5 different stampings.  Well, the next time I went to a show, I had to find an example of another marking.  Well, slowly and surely, I have continued to try picking up different marks at every gunshow I visit.  Unfortunately, as there as always the same dealers there with the same stock, my collection hasn't expanded by leaps and bounds, but maybe one day I will strike the 'motherload' ;)  I have also been fortunate enough to have great friends who have passed several variations on to me (thanks Calvin & Darwin!) and are continually looking for others that I can use to 'complete' this collection.

The ones below are representative of what I currently have (please forgive the darkness on some scans; several have a thick coat of parkerizing on them that I did not want to remove):

Again, this list is no attempt to list all M1 Clip markings that exist; they are just what I currently have in my tiny collection.  As I obtain more examples for this unique collection, I will add them to this page.

Now back to the Miscellaneous Page...
