| BREAK OUT OF SOMEONE'S FRAMES |
| I invite you to take a trip with me back to 1964. Bell bottom jeans and tie-dyed tee shirts are in style. The Beatles, The Monkeys, Moody Blues, and Jimmy Hendrix where playing on the juke box. It was a time of love and peace, but war and conflicts were raging on in forgien countries as well as at home. On August 7, 1964 Congress passed a resolution giving President Johnson the power to use all measures necessary to deal with the aggression in Vietnam. We stood as a divided nation over the conflict in Vietnam. Many lives were lost and many are still missing and unaccounted for. Leaving behind the missing and unaccounted for is a far greater atrocity than the conflict itself. Our nation STANDS FOR and IS the shining ray of FREEDOM FOR ALL. In light of this, how can our government just walk away and not insist on the release of those still held captive. In walking away before all missing are brought home or accounted for, is causing loved ones to be imprisioned by feelings of grief and loss that they are not able to put to rest until their loved ones are returned to them. Please get involved. This same fate could happen to
your loved ones!
Ted Guy is a retired Air Force pilot that servered in both Korea and Vietnam. In 1968 his plane was shot down while he was on a mission. Ted spent the next five years of his life as a POW. Until 1990 Ted gave many talks stating that he believed that all POWS were released, and the MIAS were dead. Surf through Ted's pages to see the chilling facts that changed his mind on this issue. There are some other good informational sites at ALL POW-MIA, National Alliance Of Families and POW/MIA FORM. When you have finished surfing these sites, take a leisurely stroll through The Meadow Years. Thank you Gunny for introducing me to the POW/MIAS issues.
Operation Pressure is a monthly letter writing campaign to our elected officials concerning the status of the POWS/MIAS. Click on the above graphic to find out more about Operation Pressure and the letter writing topic of the month. The Constitution grants us as American citizens the right to LIFE, LIBERTY, and the pursuit of HAPPINESS. Our governmant is for the PEOPLE and by the PEOPLE. It is time for American Citizens to raise up our voices and our pens and let our ELECTED OFFICIALS know how we feel about the suppression of information on, and the release of our POWS/MIAS. This issue should be of importance to the American People because our MEN and WOMEN are continually being sent into foreign countries. Do we want the same fate happening here that has happened in other conflicts? |
