The Strength of America

The USS Kitty Hawk, telling the Iraqis what's up.

"I can imagine a no more rewarding career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction: 'I served in the United States Navy."
- President John F. Kennedy

This portion of my site is dedicated to the ships which are America's foremost ambassadors from the sea. Persuasive in Peace, and Decisive in War, aircraft carriers are the extension of America's will throughout the world. Eventually, there will be a grand total of 14 carriers in service with the fleet, some dating back from the days of World War II. It is interesting to note that these are the only surface ships that are currently planned to have nuclear power in the near future of the US Navy.
