After wearing out several chainsaws, and watching new trees sprout from the thousands of stumps, I came across a 1952 Harris-Ferguson TO-30 tractor. Co-incidently it's the same year as the M38A1. It has been a great help, since it came with a bush-hog and a heavy duty box blade. After some 'fine tuning',carburetor work, and front spindle bushing replacement; it's been a real time saver. Now if I could only make it rain...If you look you can see how little grass there is in Florida in December. The cost of feeding the 3 horses with hay, grain, and standard medications is less than $140 per month. I spent more on the well and tack shed than I did buying all 3 horses. The next project will have to be a pole barn to shelter this equipment. |
