Many of the staff & cadets of 135 Squadron spent time in other parts of the country this summer, and one actually departed the country.

Capt Lumgair was by far the busiest, as he left immediately after the Annual Ceremonial Revue to instruct the MOC(Air) course in Albert Head, then moved on to the Regional Gliding School (Pacific) at 19 Wing Comox to teach at the Glider Instructor course.  In addition, he stayed on as Flight Commander (Eagle Flight) during the Glider Scholarship Course.

Lt Kerry and WO2 Randall also spent their summer working with the Regional Gliding School (Pacific).  WO2 Randall was a part of Falcon Flight staff, while Lt Kerry flew L-19 tow aircraft.  Congratulations to FSgt Cheng on his successful completion of the Glider Scholarship course, where he received his glider wings.  Welcome to the aviation fraternity.

OCdt Morgan worked at Albert Head Summer Training Centre, a part of CFB Esquimalt.

WO1 Lau represented Canada, having been selected to the International Air Cadet Exchange (IACE).  Her eventual destination was Singapore.  More about IACE can be seen on the Pacific Region Headquarters website at www.cadets.bc.ca/iace.htm

More news will be posted as it comes in....stay tuned!
