Description

Model ship plans series

At the breakout of the I. World War, the Navy of the Austrian-Hungarian Monarch was the 8th strongest fleet in the world. With my drawings I would like to make a memento to the ships and their brave mariners and I would like to try to please the big troop of model builders and shiplovers. The plans contain two parts, a main page and a brochure with the drawings of the details. On the main page, there is a side- and a top-view. Usually the rib-section has got its place also here. The proportion of the main pages in the case of larger ships is 1:100, by smaller ships 1:50. Some older ships can have a different proportion. The details are usually in 1:50 or 1:25. The brochure is completed by the contour-picture of the actual ship, colour painting scheme, sections and the data sheet. The finishing of a ship's plan is procede by a long collecting and research. The plans are made by using the still existing original documents and photos, for example the original plans of the Kriegsarchiv, Vienna.
