So, How Do I Join? |
Cadets: |
To become a cadet, you must be at least 12 years old or enrolled in the 6th grade. You cannot be older than 18 or married when you join as a cadet. Cadets are expected to attend weekly meetings and other scheduled events on a regular basis. |
Senior members: |
There are three different types of senior membership. Full senior membership is available for those members who plan to attend weekly meetings on a regular basis and participate in squadron staff in some manner. Opportunities arise for these members to participate in emergency services, aerospace education, and cadet programs. Cadet sponsorship is especially popular among parents of cadets and is a minimal time commitment with training and participation available. Associate membership requires no time commitment, but allows CAP to work in its many functions, including disaster relief, serving as role models for cadets, and participating in the war against drugs through your financial contribution. New members in all three forms of senior membership are extremely helpful in allowing CAP to continue to be successful in its missions. A criminal background check must be performed before membership can be confirmed. |
