Robert McGehee of Paris, Arkansas, U.S.A, has just recently added the technique of pyrography to his studio. He also paints and does assemblages. His pyrographic art is based on the symbols and icons of primal peoples, mainly African, southwestern North American, and South Pacific Islanders.
One of his pieces in pyrography on wood entitled Brotherhood of the Circle will be showing at the Santa Fe Classic, an annual juried competition of national and international artists, which will take place at the William Vincent Fine Arts Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico, U.S.A.
