"Envy". This ensemble begins with a simple tube sheath made from deep green shimmer knit, fully lined. A detachable green dupioni silk overskirt adds elegance to a special evening. The angel motif used by City of Angels Ballet is hand-embroidered on the overskirt in subtle matching tones. Accessories include evening gloves of shimmer knit, a pearl encrusted, silk-lined evening bag, a hat with plumes of emu feathers, and jewelry featuring semi-precious green aventurine hearts. The outfit also includes an unusual hatbox for Gene, made from a genuine emu egg (this could also be used as a trinket box for the purchaser). The egg's deep green coloring is natural, and the egg has been cut, hinged, lined, and decorated with braids, trims, and vintage glass pieces, including a crowning glass scarab made in occupied Japan.
