Maria

Title: Infernal Diablerist aka "The Demon Child"

Appearance: Maria is a 9 year old child prodigy. She has locks of curly brown hair and curious looking blue eyes. She normally dresses in casual dresses and usually has a doll in one hand. Being only 9, her body has not developed any womanhood traits common to puberty.

Quote: "I want to play! Let's have fun!"

Notes: Maria was embraced at around the same time as Xanthia. Together, Ducharme, Xanthia and Maria posed as a mortal family. However, this "pretend game" meant a lot more to Maria than Ducharme or Xanthia ever realized. Maria loved Xanthia, Ducharme, Clemens and Elizabetta the way any child would love a family. When Clemens warned Ducharmes of an internal investigation into supposed infernal activities by the Paris Tremere, Ducharmes set up Xanthia to take the fall for his research into the Path of Corruption. However, Maria overheard the plan and in an effort to protect "her mother", she killed Ducharmes. She didn't plan on diablerizing him, but when she did, Maria realized that she could be so much more than what she was and commenced on a diablerie rampage which rocked the Tremere clan and Paris kindred society to its core. By careful planning and manipulation she lured Anneke, the Toreador Justicar to Paris and diablerized her, although the events surrounding Anneke's death are sketchy.

1789 Update: MISSING. Enough was enough. The night before the storming of the Bastille, the remaining Paris kindred launched their final offensive to get rid of Maria once and for all. They trapped her inside the prison tower of the Bastille using one of her own rituals against her. However, Alexandre de Massi, who was a mortal prisoner at the time is the last known person to have seen Maria alive. He claims that a large wolf-like beast stepped in through a vortex, grabbed Maria and took her back to whatever dimension it came from. Everyone assumes that Maria is now stuck in the Umbra. Investigation into this event was quickly put on hold due to the outbreak of the Revolution. It is unlikely that the matter will be pursued.
