This is a much more varied album and unlike with the first, here the Presidents more commonly find a pace and stick to it for an entire song. This is the only PUSA album which actually comes with the lyrics printed on the inside cover which allows you to read the great words of wisdom yourself.
1. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN (PART 1) This is not so much of a song as a pure introduction to the album. How nice of the guys to make us feel wanted! "Good evening ladies and gentlemen are you prepared to rock?" * *
2. LUNATIC TO LOVE At almost 3 minutes, this is practically a symphony compared to the first album! However, despite the general feel of this album being more settled in terms of pace, this could have been straight from the debut as the chorus is fast and furious and the verses slow things down and focus on the lyrics. * *
3. VOLCANO This is undoubtedly where the album picks itself up. Running at a consistent pace throughout, it is clear why the guys chose to release this one in 1996. * * * *
4. MACH 5 Like Dune Buggy on the first album, the theme here is automobiles. Mach 5 was released as a single and is a rocky song about a high powered car. Fun fun fun! * * *
5. TWIGHere the pace is lowered and the guitar pattern lends itself to the speed perfectly in the verse. This time, although the verse has more distorted guitar and drum involvement, unlike what we have seen before, the pace is not hugely increased. All in all, a good sing along song! * * *
6. BUG CITY This is the kind of song you immediately like and not the kind that's charm will fade. It's beat throughout it a foot-tapping one and the lyrics are typical of PUSA.fun. * * *
7. BATH OF FIRE Here's a country style song with that Presidents feel still strong. A nice guitar throughout and some keyboard work, something that The Presidents have used a lot more of on this album makes this a bizarre but enjoyable song. * * * *
8. TIKI GOD. This song was released as a single and is the basis for my e-mail address TikiGod19@aol.com - drop me a line so it must be good! More of an angry song than some of the others, this one has a mid tempo beat which makes you just want to join in! * * *
9. L.I.P. This song is a cracker! It's my favourite on the album and again, it's the kind of one that doesn't take long to get into. There's a very unique drum beat throughout and the words are just so PUSA! * * * * *
10. FROGGIE. Hmm, this is a hard one to describe! Lots of keyboard/piano and even three-string tritar! Oh well, they're not afraid to try new things, it's not their best but it has some great lyrics. * *
11. TOOB AMPLIFIER. This is a great fun song, each member of the band gets a chance to sing about their brand new possession. Lookout for Drummer Jason Finn's voice, very distinctive! * * * *
12. SUPERMODEL. Adapted to 'Supersonics' when they play live, in respect of their favourite Basketball team, the Seattle Supersonics, this is one good song! The words sing of Genghis Khan's love child and making it with the terminator! * * *
13. PUFFY LITTLE SHOES. Immediately recognisable from the name as The Presidents work, this is a slow relaxed song throughout. A mammoth five minutes could even be said to be too long for this song, but good none the less. * *
14. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN (PART 2). Combining with the first track, this acts as a goodbye and thank you from the band. "Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen, hope you enjoyed the show" Plus lookout for a 15th track that doesn't appear on the case, called basketball dreams, it's lead singer Chris Ballew's nephew singing about his dream encounter with Magic Johnson * * *
