VENDLA MacMAHON BRAMBLE

(no picture of her yet)

Vendla grew up on farms that were somewhat isolated from children her own age so consequently she was a rather shy young girl. Her greatest loves were watching Old Western movies- and rooting for the Indians and Outlaws, and playing in the extensive acres of farmland amongst the horses and other farm life. Although she admits that sometimes farm animals and her don't get along for some reason. (Ask her about the Jenny mule that hates her with a passion !)

Because of her shyness while growing up she never participated in thespian productions but about 3 1/2 years ago that all changed. Thanks to "Mack" McMahon of Macks Country. It took him some gentle persuading but he soon had her out in front of the audience. Then her natural ability to "ham it up" took control. She developed 3 characters that she is rather fond of:

She also designed and ran the Macks Country webpage for the gang for nearly as long as she was around Mack. Vendla admits she knew absolutely nothing about running a webpage, must less design one. But after some false starts and some much welcomed help from a distant cousin she had the pages running smoothly.( Now she runs 4 webpages on different subjects, and she says hopefully soon there will be a 5th.)

When Macks Country closed to the public in mid1998 Mack encouraged her to form her own reenactment group "The Sweet Revenge Gang" so she could continue doing what she found, to her suprise, to be a natural talent. . So she contacted some of the other gals who had been in the "Sweet Revenge" skit asking them if they would like to continue doing their lady outlaw characters. "And here we are !"

Recently Vendla was asked how she felt about portraying a female outlaw. Her bright blue eyes lit up "I LOVE IT ! It's very empowering. It makes you feel as strong as you really are, or should be." This blue eyed redhead firmly believes that females would make better outlaws. (And she has the temper to match her convictions.)

Usually Vendla is always laughing about something but when those blue eyes start shooting fire.... one can easily envision her as a lady outlaw in the Old West.
