just a quick note for an idea for your website. How about a section where each of the band lists ten records that influenced them, changed their lives, blah blah, etc etc,...like the rebellious jukebox section that used to be in the Melody

ely glasgow doesn't really have anywhere small to play that isn't a pub. places do exist (art-galleries etc) but they aren't geared to do live music and become very expensive when you have to hire your own PA and so on. but it is something we always keep

yep... the dates are right. idlewild did their cover after peeps had supported them on their autumn '98 tour so the song had obviously stuck in their head after hearing it night after night after night.... incidentally folks the album is now called 'the s

some answers.... the album is now called 'without a home' cause there's been a band, a club and about a dozen albums recently called 'home'. we liked 'home' cause we noticed the word kept cropping up in the lyrics and it's the name of the opening song on
he album. the release date has been set for sep 4. we *are* doing t-in-the-park. we have one of the 'headlining' slots on the PRS stage - 6:50pm on the sunday so see you there. and no jeremy is not a full member of idlewild - still just their live helper-

hi havent heard any news from the band in a while - i notice there is an air of anticipation surrounding the new album - looking forward to it (is it still called 'home'?)
has jeremy become a fully fledged member of idlewild? saw them on tv a few weeks back and noticed they neglected him slightly with the camera shots - i only noticed he was there sometime after the start.
i am now in a "humerous" band called, fantastically, "mr cranium" - we've done a few covers and a handful of shows, but nothing serious, so we have promised to reform into a post-rock style band being born from the 'ashes' that are left over.

thought i might as well answer one or two questions since nobody else has (jer!?)....
yes - jeremy is helping out our friends the 'wild on their uk tour
no - he most definitely hasn't left peeps
the reason we've been quiet on the gig front is 'cause we're writing and recording for the album which we start this weekend and which should be out for the summer.
once we get the album out the road, expect the odd gig in scotland around april/may, and we'll be making the odd trip down to london (with maybe one or two stop-offs on the way up/down the road). once the album comes out expect more dates around the count
y and hopefully one or two festivals.
we did a radio one evening session at cava in glasgow yesterday so keep an ear out for that too in the coming months.
