Wexford, PA review
I didn't decide to go to this concert until the week before and got my tickets through ticketmaster and to my surprise...they must have released seats because my sister and I sat in the 2nd row center stage....I don't know how this happened but it was lucky on my part.
Fernando Ortega was extremely funny in between songs...commented on how people from Michigan use their hand as MI as a reference and just point to places on the hand (up or down) to tell what part of MI they are from...and for the praise song he sung at the end with his accordion, he said he admirer Amish people and was trying to be the first Latino to have a hymn in an Amish hymn...was funny in the context of the evening...
Amy was AWESOME...her voice still bothered her as it did early at the Woodbridge stop (I was there too...) so she did not sing quite 2 hours...she was so sweet though as she met a woman named Rose before the show and Rose had told her she wanted close seats for her husband at tonight's show as it was his birthday and Amy had her people go out during the 20 minute intermission and save them 2 seats (with roses no less) in the 2 row center.
She sang...
Takes A Little Time
Angels
Lucky One
Big Yellow Taxi (Millie Brought out Corrina for this number and Sarah helped sing backup....Corrina is so cute she tried to dance during the number and would look at Vince and then went over to Amy and wanted Amy to pick her up while Amy was trying to play guitar and sing the song...poor Corrina kept saying Mama to try and get Amy to pick her up...so then Amy sang ... Love Will Find A way and she picked up Corrina who before the song grabbed Amy's microphone and said "dada" into it and then "Hello"...it was so cute...Corrina liked talking into the mic because she wanted to do it again...Amy had to take the mic away from her....Corrina looks so much like both Vince and Amy....Amy held her for the rest of the song and then when it was over thanked us for indulging her for allowing her to spend time with her Family...
El Shaddai
Father's Eyes
Fairest Lord Jesus
Softly and Tenderly
What A Friend We Have In Jesus/Old Rugged Cross/How Great Thou Art
It is Well/River's Gonna Keep on Rollin'
Simple Things (love the song...2nd time I heard it...she sang it in Woodbridge also...I was singing along to the chorus at Wexford...awesome song...especially when Amy holds the one note and her voice hits different notes and goes up and down...
Chorus...kinda...
I Dream of Simple Things
I can't Believe it
Like the (something...sorry forgot) that this day brings
true love and the miracle
love forgiving
I Believe in Simple Things
I Will Remember You...told of her great aunt whom flew everywhere to see her west of the Mississippi because her voice made her feel a little closer to Jesus...Amy received a letter from that same Aunt in college saying this to her and Amy said she thought there were more talented singers before her but that she'd do her career over again for that letter....
Wise Up
Baby Baby
House of Love
Vince Sang a new unreleased song called something like "These Last Days" which was AWESOME...it talked about what someone whom was dying wanted to be doing in their last days on earth ...(cherished everything, etc)...Amy said that the song always makes her want to cry and then added humorously that Vince was ok and not ill or anything...
Children of the World
Helping Hand
encore of Lead Me On
Thy Word
Every Heartbeat
Amy thanked us for following her long 25 year career...and encouraged us to make a difference in others lives...
