Awesome show...Amy opened up with Takes a little time...she wore a white
button down peasant shirt with a brown collared shirt underneath and jeans and played her guitar. She played El Shaddai and Father's Eyes(she saw someone holding a sign saying they danced to Father's Eyes at their wedding so she played it for the girl and in the middle of singing she stopped and asked the girl if she wanted the whole song which she played). She played several songs off the new Album like It Is Well/River's Gonna Keep on Rollin, and Imagine (a train was going behind the grandstand when she tried to start it so she waited and had us to talk amongst ourselves...then when the train left she started the song) She sang Lead Me On, I Have Decided, Angels, Helping Hand, Children Of the World (she talked about a handicapped little girl she met through Make A Wish Foundation and how they sung songs together as that it what the young girl wanted to do and how she realized that the song was for children like this when the young girl told Amy "I may be different on the outside but I am the same on the inside", Baby Baby, House Of Love (Kim Keyes sung Vince's Part and they mock kissed at the end to ham it up). She said she enjoyed being back on the road singing songs other than Christmas songs and that she felt like a dog still on a chain because Millie would not let her sing around her which embarrassed her and she was happy Millie was not in Syracuse...it was funny. She said that Vince was in Minnesota doing their fair and that they were the "Fair Couple" that night. Mark Schultz opened for her and he was really
great...got the audience to sing along...concert started late and Amy did
not do an encore (sadly)...They did have fireworks at the end but it was a raining overcast evening and was too foggy to really see the fireworks but that's ok.
Amy looked very relaxed and like she was enjoying herself......It was a great evening and not that many people were there so it was like a nice sort of more personal gathering since she did interact with the crowd somewhat.
