Vince & Amy are doing a seven city Canadian tour in september 2004...1st time slept with the opening act..
15 christmas shows December 1-December 19, 2004
Mom of 3yr old w/ maturity things do diff now w/ Corrina..
Amy not working as hard ..spending more time w/ her..know now witnessed 3 older child that she is who she is the minute she is born....see traits in Matt that are identical while in his crib..see corrina as a 3yr old & an old soul..spends so much time w/ older family members...a source of entertainment for us all..

What you tink of new cherry bombs song "It's hard to kiss the lips"and video?
AMY-yes saw the video..Vince looks like Rikki Lake he is dressed in drag..think song is very funny..fun to see him reunited w/ old friends..idea for song was his father's who passed away 7 yrs ago. Stan Gill is a cross between John Wayne and Patton..did vince's heart good to write that song in memory of his dad..not about anybody..just a good laugh.

How hard to get Vince to dress in drag for video?
AMY-wasn't hard at all..he and Rodney Corowell fet it wasn't good taste to ask a woman to play a nag so they would be each other's nags.

Is Palm in Nashville one of your favorite restaurants?
AMY-sure Vince and I eat there frequently... Vince loves steak...quite carnivore...Amy is more or less just along for the ride.
food is great..little pricy but atmos is casual.

Want to know more about the dress you wore on the 4th? AMY-that was not the dress I intended to wear..wore that dress to sing at President Bush's 80th birthday party...bought it off the rack at a store in Nashville called Gus Meyer..dress I had picked out for the 4th had a black background w/ big pink flowers on it..they said no black..Amy is opposite of a clothes horse & manager Jennifer was surprised that she'd actually taken care of buying a dress before the event..feel like I really haven't gotten good use of a dress unless I've worn it 70 or 80 times..had a man tell me at an A&M dinner one night that I had worn the same dress at 2 previous record company functions..he thought I would want to know...told him I like it, that's why I wear it..

An hour before chat Amy had to catch a 2 1/2 ft rat snake that was in her tent camper....Vince is on the road...Matt, Sarah and I are camping w/ some friends tonight...

AMY's favorite teacher of all her years from 1-12 was a male history teacher..
You always sing about hope..your songs communicate hope..how do you find strength and courage to see the hope?
AMY-don't think ever consiously tried to conjure hopeful ending to a bad stretch of life or in midst of tough stretch.....even in worse scenarios..his spirit is present.

Efforts on establishing a good working relationship w/ mainstream record label??
AMY- Record company situation is too complicated to go into right now..we are releasing a greatest hits this fall that will be coming out on both A&M and Word/Warner..will be annoucing details about release date very soon..starting work on anoth hymns proj for word/warner 3rd wk aug..early 05 release of the hymns

What is greatest compliment ever received professsionally or personally?
AMY- Best compliment something from Vince..probably because people who are around you see the best/worst so you trust that a confirming word does not come from naive place

Question about which tour most memoriable/special/fun/difficult?
AMY-They all were fabulous..filled with great memories..hardest tour with christmas of 98 because at the end of marriage to gary..nobody really knew it but us..that was a long brave face tour..wish could invite each of you to be a fly on wall to experience how great a community a tour provides..everybody works hard..no pecking order at lest not to amy..

What song of yours would you like to sing live that you haven't in a while???
AMY-"Lover of My Soul" and "The Feeling I Had"..recently started to include "In A Little While" in set list..has been fun

How do you remember words to so many songs??
AMY- just muscle memory

Question about Feliciat Sorenson
AMY-Felicia has an amazing voice only know her thru Keith Thomas..maybe he is doing a a project with her but I have never produced a record for anybody..it's important to know your limitations..

Lead Me On video shot in Zions, Utah..Have you ever been back?
AMY-Toured a few times in Salt Lake City since then but that's about it... on one tour had 4 days off and all of us in band went on a hiking/backpacking trip right outside Salt Lake..was alot colder that thought it would be..

Asked repeat question about hope..Amy said exact qeustion was posed at the beginning of chat..are you asking it again?

Do you enjoy touring with Vince more than on your own?
AMY- Touring on my own is little more familiar..nice to spend a little road time together but don't want to be a permanent performing duo

love your kid stories..Do you have any fun stories to tell and are they interested in music professionally
AMY-Too early to tell what their career aspirations are..think Matt wants to be a free style biker...hesitate to tell stories on the older kids because the minute I tell something revealing it somehow gets back to them..yes, there are funny stoies but feel like I'm more interested in being a turstworthy sounding board for them..Corrina on the other hand can not read, has no computer and no phone skills so we can talk about her all we want...latest passion is ping pong..keeping her eye on the ball..got an occasionally decent serve..have actually had a 4 hit rally..which tells me Vince has introduced a whole new athletic gene to my offspring..

Ever considered a campfire song cd?
AMY-Trying to think of a good answer & it is no..are you talking about youth camp songs..AMY asks..yes ksfoxx says..would say I did something like that years ago with a project called "Songs From The Loft".

How is new porch coming along?
AMY- says finished..sat on a porch swing this morning having coffee..fell asleep on the porch last week on a blown up matttress..could hear kids playing outside..dogs barking..read til the sun went down then fell asleep..so did corrina.

Finding much time to ride your bike these days?
AMY-not much bike riding..thought kids would fall in love with it..bought everybody bikes..they are dusty in garage..i will take it on the road, especially the fall can dates..rides should be amazing..

Nan asks how you caught the snake tonight and what you do with it?
AMY-First let me say have strong reaction to snakes that in years past would kill any snake I've come across..must be a holdover from eve..about 3 mos ago went to exotic fish/snake store ..told them had unreasonable fear of snakes that had to kill them..store manager walked her thru good/bad snake talk..afterwhich handed her several snakes to hold..purpose of visit was to know which snakes to stay away from..so tonight..friend Gina was reaching for outdoor cooktop that attached to side of our popup camper..was stored under one of the bench seats in the dinette ares..she jumped back and said we had a snake..AMY found a plactic bag and two of us coralled him in the corner of the bench seat..when he started climbing up the wall grabbed him thru the bag behind his head..took him out to show the kids and released him..his pupils were round and not like cat eye slits..let her know not poisonous.. that's about it..
