My Review
The Behind the Eyes concert was by far the best
concert that Amy Grant has assembled. The set
was minimal..mostly Amy with her guitar. In the
first half, Amy played a lot of material from Behind
the Eyes by also took us down memory lane with songs
like Lead Me On, Alright, Everywhere I Go, and Who Do
You Listen To. My absolute favorite part of the show
was when Amy did her acoustic set of just her and her
guitar. It was great singing along with Amy and the
audience during this part to songs like El Shaddai,
My Father's Eyes, and After the Fire. A very cute part
at the Pittsburgh show I was at was during the encore
of Big Yellow Taxi, children; Matt, Millie, and Sarah
came out with the backup singers and shook tambourines to
the beat. Amy closed with I Will Remember You and was
gracious enough to sign autographs and take pictures with
fans after the show on the way to her bus where her children
were waiting.. I was lucky enough to get Amy to
sign a picture of her and me together. That was the icing
on top of an absolute great concert experience.
