Amy Grant, Bill Gaither headline Hymn Sing

Amy Grant, American Idol star Melinda Doolittle and gospel legend Bill Gaither are among the many special guests to be featured at the Nashville Symphony?s second annual Community Hymn Sing, taking place 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Sunday, April 13, at Schermerhorn Symphony Center.

The brainchild of Billy Ray Hearn, chairman of EMI Christian Music Group and event sponsor The Sparrow Foundation, the Community Hymn Sing invites audience members to take part in the program by lifting their voices to such favorite hymns as ?Amazing Grace? and ?How Great Thou Art.? Last year?s inaugural Hymn Sing was so popular that the Nashville Symphony was eager to host the event again.

Other artists scheduled to take part in the concert include Travis Cottrell, Out for Soul Gospel Choir, Belmont Chamber Singers and Nashville Choir. The Nashville Symphony will also perform, led by guest conductor David Hamilton. Audience members will receive a commemorative booklet of the programs hymns.
