TOM MAHIEU

Born
and raised in Rock Island, Illinois, Tom Mahieu has been entertaining audiences
since he was just a kid. As a singer/songwriter Tom has an intimate relationship
with his craft and his fans. He's able to reach people in a very real way
with his ballads and yet, at the flip of a hat, start rockin' the joint.
In order to follow his dream, Tom left his small hometown and headed for
the city. Big "D" Dallas, Texas was where he landed and started
living the music and song that filled his heart. He immediately got involved
with the group Triangle and before long he was recording his first original
project in Charley Pride's personal studio. Heady stuff for a small-town
boy. Tom's lead vocals were well received and soon after he began to hone
the craft of songwriting and develop the style and message that is now
uniguely Tom Mahieu. Throughout his years in Dallas Tom played many of
its clubs and quickly became a local favorite.
The next move was to Los Angeles
where Tom would start playing some of the city's hottest clubs, including
the Roxy, Troubador, and even made appearances at the world famous Comedy
Store, to name a few. He also found himself performing for thousands as
a star act touring with the Hollywood USO. The next thing he knew he was
on Star Search. 
All
this leading him to his most recent engagement at the Daughters Of The
American Revolution Auditorium in Washington D.C. where he performed for
Suma Ching Hai International paying tribute to Suma Ching Hai herself.
Which in turn, led Tom to world-wide exposure and acceptance in all veitnamese
and asian communities. Working with producer David Eaton and gathering
some of the finest studio musicians Tom was able to produce what had only
existed in his head. The words and music of his heart had finally found
their way. The result is his recently completed 4-song CD containing songs
that cover a wide range of feeling and emotion all the way from his love
of family to plain ol' foot stompin' fun. Work and dedication has always
guided Tom Mahieu to achieve exactly what he's set out to do. Most recently,
by completing this CD he has launched his dream to touch the hearts and
lives of people everywhere.
