A personal Savior my Jesus is, Let me tell you what he did.

He was sent to this earth from his throne on high, to come down - he knew he must die.

A death of great pain, God in the flesh would feel. The denial of him by his people - Oh! so real!

As he walked up Golgotha's hill, in the future he did see my birth and said "James, I died for thee."

As I grew and continued in sin, my Savior asked "Will you let me in?"

Afraid of what Jesus might want, the gift of salvation was all he brought.

For many more years I kept living in sin. My Savior asked, "will you let me in?"

Then one day my death he made real, the fire of hell I could feel.

I didn't know what would save me from my sin, Christ knocked on my heart, "will you let me in?"

I opened the door and as he stepped in, he brought the gift of life and forgave all my sin.

He cleansed my heart and made me whole, Hell no longer is my home.

Now on earth and in heaven I will sing, praises to my Savior and King.

If you are lost and in your sin, won't you let the Savior in?

The gift of salvation he will bring; he'll come inside and clean everything.

Your want and desires he will change too, all because Christ died for you!
