In our 5 weeks traveling Vietnam, the Mountain View Ninh Hong was our absolute favorite hotel! Combine spectacular scenery, large clean rooms, good food, and very friendly staff, and you have the Mountain View Ninh Hong Hotel. The views from the hotel rooms are so breathtaking - you won't want to leave! And all this at budget prices. Unbeatable. We recommend the Mountain View Ninh Hong Hotel to all Sapa bound travelers.

The Mountain View Hotel is a friendly family hotel where everybody tries to provide a relaxed and comfortable environment. We are a French / Vietnamese family who also lived in Laos long ago. We find people here similar in nature to those in Luang Prabang. Thanks a lot for taking care of us during our 5-day stay.

The Mountain View Hotel is one of the best values for money in the world. The staff are helpful, the rooms are superb, and the activities are excellent. We hope this web page we wrote is an accurate depiction of what you can experience during your stay.

Our 3-day trek was a truly amazing experience. We highly recommend this trek. Go even longer and farther into the hills if you have the time. A variety of scenery, river valleys, mountains, vegetation, hill tribes, farming, and simply interacting with the local people. We saw first hand how the hill tribe people farm, socialize, and live day to day. Amazing scenery. I fell in love with the Sapa hill tribe area. The trip was extremely well organized. Our guide Luan is the best. She worked hard for us. She cooked delicious meals, knew the ethnic people and area, had a great sense of humor, and truly cared about our well being. She made our trip very memorable and enjoyable from start to finish. I can honestly recommend this trip through the Mountain View Hotel.

They said the Fansipan 3-day trek (3143 meters) was going to be difficult and it was, but the views were spectacular and swinging on the bamboo was fun. The guides and porters were really friendly and the food was delicious. The trek to the rooftop of Vietnam was one of the highlights of my trip!

Ode to Fansipan
They embarked on a bus
from the Ninh Hong Hotel
without too much fuss
foggy bowels of hell.

Eleven in number
they trekked a short while
'fore stopping to slumber
stacking packs in a pile.

Arrived at the camp
just after three
consulted no map
Jay had to pee.

Two Britons came down
thouroughly pleased
lauding great views
despite muddy knees.

A hearty good dinner
a restless night's sleep
breakfast was thinner
early goings were steep.

After hours of toil
with no end in sight
the mud could not foil
their staunch hiking fight.

Atop the great mountain
the fog did abound
Duong lit a fire
they all gathered 'round.

The huddled and shivered
ate egg and bread
they worried and quivered
the way down they did dread.

But to their surprise
the descent was good fun
like warrior monkeys
through bamboo they swung.

And arrived at camp
just after four
tired but pleased
eager for more.

They sat by the fire
warm and content
prepared for the morrow
their final descent.

On a mountain ridge
in mist they did stop-a
and ate a big lunch
'fore returning to Sapa.
