Career Highlights

At age 24, became second youngest driver in history to win NASCAR Winston Cup Series championship.
In 1993, won MAXX Rookie of the Year title.
Married to former Miss Winston, Brooke Sealy.
Won seven races, eight poles and all the mid-way bonuses on way to 1995 title. Led most laps and miles during the season.
One of his seven 1995 wins was the Mountain Dew Southern 500 at Darlington. Dover race victory blunted ferocious charge by Dale Earnhardt.
Won series-best 10 races in 1996. His five poles were also tops.
Named American Driver of the Year in 1995.

Winner of the 1997 Daytona 500, leading a 1-2-3 Hendrick Motorsports finish with teammates Terry Labonte and Ricky Craven.
Second and final driver to win Winston Million bonus, winning the Daytona 500, Coca-Cola 600, and Mountain Dew Southern 500 in 1997.
In 1997, became first driver to win 10 or more races in back-to-back seasons since Darrell Waltrip in 1981 and 1982.
