Mason-Dixon Classic Chevy Club Show

The 12th of June '99 was a cold rainy Sunday in northern Virginia but the folks from the Mason-Dixon Classic Chevy were hosting the North Eastern National Classic Chevy Convention in Salisbury, Maryland. I had to go. Mama decided to sleep this one out and my trusty side-kick Long Haul Balls had headed back to his family in the desert. So, it was going to be a solo trip. Your dear old Webmaster loaded thecamera, amug of hot coffeeand a couple sodas into the Jeepster and we were on the road again.

From the northern Virginia-DC area Salisbury is a little over 2 hours drive. The drive over the big bay bridge from Annapolis was quite asight. The white-capped waves on the Chesapeake Bay looked very cold! I was toasty in the Jeep even if the soft-top was looking a little rough from about 5 years of wear and tear....but that is another story. Anyway, it was early in the morning so traffic was apiece of cake. This bridge is infamous for some very ugly traffic jams. Coffee Shops in the small beach towns along the way looked inviting but I pressed on for Salisbury.

Unfortunately, the12thwas thelastday of theconvention. I arrived atthe Holiday Inn as several Classics were getting ready to depart the area. Darn it. Luckily, I snapped a few shots of these fine classics before they got away...

This fine looking '57 150 got me thinking about my own Project '57...maybe I should stick with a solid color vice the two-tone paint job, I'm planning....hhmmmm......nah!

This beautiful Bel-Air was featured in Classic Chevy World magazine acouple months ago.

SWEET, LOW &SASSY!

A really sharp yellow '57....

An unusual Top Gun graphic on theside of this '56 Chevy Panel. This Hot Rod was one ofthe Cruiser's Pick winners!
