| While on a recent business trip to Orlando, I stopped by the Headquarters for Classic Chevy International. Here's a couple shots of their neat office.... | |

The parking signs directly in front of the entrance are reserved for '55, '56 and'57 Chevys. My kind of place! As your old gearhead webmaster was in an economy rental car (gasp!), I was forced to park on the other side of the lot...yikes! BUMMER.....c'est la vie, eh? |
CCI has a really neat show room complete with lots of nostalgic '50's collectable stuff, car parts andclub clothing. They also have some first rate show cars on the floor and a side room full of cars that are for sale. A side door leads to the MOTHER LODE ....the humongous parts warehouse complete with a section full of "clearance" or slightly damaged items....hoo-hoo!! |
....Needless to say, I enjoyed my short visit. I even stopped by Headquarters for the Bowtie Club just about amile away. Although I didn't join their club, the receptionist was friendly. I enjoyed checking out their salvage yard full of classic Detroit Chevy products soaking up the warm Florida sun. |
| Of course while in Orlanda, I
also made a "pit stop" at Race Rock for a burger & beer...!!
In case you haven't heard about Race Rock, it is a very slick restaurant with a motorsports theme. The restaurant walls, ceiling and floor are covered with race cars, dragsters, and NASCAR memorabilia.
This big blue monster truck "Big Foot" stands outside Race Rock to mark the location. ...NEAT PLACE! |
