Came looking at V-8 conversions

A friend of mine sold me his 84 s10 2x4 truck. He blew a piston throught the stock 2.5. I have an older 5.7 buick that i would like to use as a donor vehicle for an engine swap. Because of lack of money for a new engine i cant afford to buy any other. What i need is a tech manual online for the swap. Something that would include in detail the steps and parts need to do the swap. I only have about a 1000 dollars to spend. any help you give give me would be greatly appreciated.

I,M HAVING A LITTLE TROUBLE W/MY SWAP AND ANY INFO YOU CAN SPARE IS VERY APP. EXAUST IS ONE PROBLEM,AND COOLING IS YET TO BE TACKLED...THIS IS MY FIRST S-10 SWAP.I HAVE A NEW MODEL 350 W/SERPENTINE BELT,350 TURBO,AND THE SHIFTER IS ON THE COLUMN...ONE QUESTION I HAVE IS WILL THE HEADMAN SHORTY'S FIT W/THE STOCK SHIFTER? do you know of any company who makes headers that dont go around the frame. My friend has a 4x4 s10 with a 350 and his headers look like big exhaust manifolds, and they dont go around the frame, but i guess they were custom made. I want to put wider wheel and tires on the front and the headers are in the way. any ideas?????

I would like to know which heddman headers fit into your truck. Did you have to modify anything? Is the radiator stock? I would like to put a mid 70's 350 into my 89 s-15, any input would by much appreciated. I know my way around vehicles fairly well. I also have a 75 Chevy Monza with a 350 in it with some goodies added. I would like to hear any suggestion that you might have. Thanks, Mike [email protected]

Great site man, your ride is looking good, iving me lots of ideas for my '85. The fist 7 color paint sceam looked good, but the silver looks good too, ecpectially with the roof rack and spoiler taken off. But so far I've lowered it 3inches up front and 4 in the rear tinted all the windows installed carpet(it had rubber floors). Put a GT Grant wheel, KENWOOD TAPE WITH CD OUT PUT JBL FRONT JBL REAR speakers. NOT TO GO ON AND ON BUT 3inch exhaust. I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO THANK JOHN DOYLE, ROBERT OLDAM AND EVERY BODY ELSE AT WORK. BLOSSOM CHEVROLET KICKS ASS BEST PLACE TO WORK THANK YOU MARVIN POPE. I think you should leave yor back end the hight that its at now and drop your front down 2 more inches so it has an agresive mean looking stance onc you pu your big meats on the back.

i dont like it sliver it looked better the other color. mines red with black around bottom, chrome rims, good system. you need head light covers i want to run you but that will be hard to do I'll send you a picture later.

just so you know i was stationed in bamberg germany with the 82nd engineer bn. so i to have the autobahn miles on mine sure was a great time for me too. eat the opels and wax those damn vw's thanks i miss doing that. take care and drive safe.

This is a nice site. The only Ford I like is the Cobra Mustang because it looks nice and that's it. I've only lost one street race and that was to a 1938 Chevy truck that ran 10's in the 1/4 mile.
