| Front suspension is installed in the car, with all new stock style parts from PSC in Arizona. The '72 Chevelle wagon disc brakes installed a few years back are fitted with new rotors, bearings, pads, and rebuilt calipers. The stock sway bar was removed and replaced with a 1 5/16" Helwig bar. All bushings are Polygraphite. In the future, I'll probably step up to a fast ratio power box to replace the manual box in place now. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The engine is also complete, and installed in the car for mock up. With the smallblock frame mounts and a long water pump, there isn't much room for a fan, but I've found a Flex-a-Lite fan which should do the trick. It will be up very close to the radiator, so a shroud shouldn't be much of a concern. I do have a stock steel shroud which could be shortened and installed, if needed. The Hooker HPC coated Competition headers fit perfect with no dings necessary, a nice surprise. I still have to deal with the trans and rearend. I have a Super T-10 which I'm thinking of installing now instead of the th400, but then I'll have to rework the crossmember back to original to install the 4 speed, along with buying a new flywheel and scattershield. Decisions, decisions. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| As far as bodywork goes, I need to finish up smoothing everything, then take the doors and front fenders back down to bare metal, in preparation for some good epoxy primer, instead of the lacquer primer on there now. I don't want any rust festering under there to slip by. This will come in the next few months, as I am getting anxious to get on the road again. Stay tuned for future updates. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| It's been awhile since the last update. Things have been taking shape slowly, due to my work schedule. I have managed to get the Ford 9" rear built. It has all the goodies, such as Currie 31 spline axles, Detroit Locker, Ford Motorsport N case with steel caps and billet adjusters, Richmond 3.89 gears, aluminum Daytona pinion support, and Daytona yoke. I've also installed a Ford Motorsport Explorer disc brake setup. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The Super T-10 4-speed gets the nod on this one, and it has been rebuilt this past winter by myself. The job would've been alot harder without my new front bearing puller from Posilock. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Bodywork is coming along well. The body has been stripped bare, and is wearing a coat of epoxy primer now, and hasn't shown any sign of rust for the last couple of years, which is good. That is the whole reason for this restoration in the first place. Good news is that Goodmark is reproducing bumpers for the car now. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
