MKIII got the 4-valve head, and finally on export, turbo... unfortunately with rediculously low stock boost, and a restrictive intercooler (3psi drop at 6.8psi boost!!!). But the good news is that with stock internals, one can get 600hp+ out of it... Some of the power increase was offset by a huge weight increase of over 500 pounds :( Suspension went to double wishbones front and back. Inside, the car seems quite German... decide yourself if this is good or bad. There is an overall move to more comfort, and truckload of small luxury features. With MKIII Supra went to a more round body style. The front grill was slightly re-designed in 1989 (to as some call it, "Klingon nose" ;).

There are also two styles of the rear wing. Some naturally aspirated models came without a wing. A targa top was an option.
