Top speed: 240km/h=7000rpm, will not try above that... With larger tyres and Supra W58 gearbox about 259km/h / 161mph [Japanese market cars have had a governed top speed of 180 km/h / 112mph. Check here how to disable it ;) About 200km/h were quoted in a German book for a Carina GT-T in stock form.]

front suspension: independent, McPherson, traling links, transverse arms, coil springs (~130lbs/in), Koni adjustable telescopic damper struts (set 1.5 turns tighter), anti-roll bar (22mm). Polyurethane bushings (lower control arms, anti-roll bar links).

rear suspension: independent, semi-trailing arms, anti-roll bar (12mm), coil springs (~230lbs/in), Bilstein telescopic dampers. [the same as in most '82-'86 RWD high-powered Toyotas, like Celica Supra]
