Special Features

In addition to all the features of the Grand National the GNX received the following modifications!


Special coating applied to up- pipe between the intercooler and throttle body and distinctive GNX turbocharger cover to reject underhood heat.

High efficiency intercooler

Ceramic turbine wheel turbocharger to improve boost response
 Recalibrated PROM (computer chip) to maximizg the advantages of the ceramic turbine

Auxiliary transmission cooler

Transmission - "NEW" cushion servo, pressure spring, first-second gear accumulator bushing and valve, third-fourth gear accumulator spring

     Free-flow dual exhaust

     16 inch aluminum alloy wheels with Goodyear Eagle VR "Gatorback" radial tires (245/50VR-16 front & 255/50VR-16  rear)

     Redesigned rear suspension  geometry utilizing a longitudinal torque bar  and a panhard   bar for improved rearwheel traction and  handling characteristics

     Additional rear seat brace

     Modified wheel openings with fender flares to accomodate the larger wheels and tires

     Functional front fender air exhausts to improve intercooler radiator airflow

     Full analog instrumentation  including tachometer, speedometer, turbo-boost, coolant temperature, oil pressure and fuel level gauges

     Special GNX emblems on the radiator grille and trunk lid, GNX logos on each wheel center cap, a serialized plate on the dash, GNX turbo heat shield & intercooler decal
