The  LS400
This is the top of the line luxury sedan from Lexus.  1998 is the third design of the LS, which was one of the first cars made by Lexus in 1989.  This car, with a base price of $56,000, is packed with all the luxury features one could ever want.  It is also ranked in the top 5 of safe cars.  That's not bad for a car that looks like an S-Class from the front, yet costs $40,000 less.  Possible alternatives for this car would be the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, the BMW 7-Series, or the Audi A8.
