Suspensions Systems

1998 Dodge Neon ACR Coupe

Neons enjoy great suspension systems from the factory. If you own a 95-98 ACR or Sport model then you know what I'm talking about. While some people race their Neons in ES or DS Solo 1 and Solo 2 competiton they are not allowed by the rules to make any suspension changes. Others still would like to close up that wheel gap when they change their wheels and tires. Whatever the reason, springs are the first stop that most people make when changing the supspension on a Neon. I'm looking for some Neons that feature the following springs: H&R's, Progress and Jamex. Please e-mail me if you would like your Neon featured on this site.

Suspension Techniques (You must have Netscape 3.0 or higher to take full advantage of the site)

The Super Street Magazine Dodge Neon ACR has them. They lower the Neon 1.20 inches around and work great if your going with 17" inch wheels like they did. Cost $160-240

INTRAX

Some of the people that have bought these springs complained about that they didn't lower the rear of their cars enough to where you could tell. Well the fact is that the springs lower the rear of the Neon 1.5" and the front 1.75". Intrax is also coming out with an adj. coil-over spring package for Neons, sometime in the spring of '98. So look out for those. This WAS Kevin Shimp's Neon ACR, he has since sold it. It has Intrax springs. Cost $170-220

EiBach Springs

These are by far the most popular springs for the Neon. They drop the Neon 1.30 inches around. Lots of people have these springs including me. Cost $200-260
This is Dan Wink's Dodge Neon ACR. Dan has installed an ICEMAN intake on his Neon along with the Eibach springs. If you would like to read what he thinks about his ICEMAN intake click on the picture.

Progress Technology

Progress sport springs lower the Neon 1.8 inches around. People all around have nothing be good things to say about these springs. Eric Ziller's Neon is feature bellow, you can ask him about the springs. Also Mike Henry has these on his Neon. You'll find him elsewhere on thise site. $160-190

Jamex

Jamex springs are fairly inexpensive and can be found for under $100. When combined with Jamex matching sport struts they offer a package that's can't be beaten for the price. The whole suspension kit can be purchased for under $350!
Comments from "Hash": For the money you just can't beat em. Lowered my car about 2 inches. The ride is a lil bumpy on bad roads but once you hit a main street or the freeway they are fine. Try em out you'd be supervised on how well they work.

More to come soon...
