Now that we're all over the holidays, the 1998 Oz rodding year is now fully underway with planning for several major events back in full swing. Coming up soon are events such as the South West Sandgroper Nationals, Bunbury, WA, the Hunter Un-nationals, Maitland, Qld & SA State Title Shows to name a few. And, of course, there are rodders in committees all over the country working hard on presenting all sorts of street rodding and custom events for us to enjoy. It seems that these days, more and more street rodders are testing the water by travelling further afield than was generally the custom in the past, to attend rod runs being held in other parts of the country, which they have heard were well organised events. This is a positive trend, which helps to unite as one street rodding group, with common goals and interests.
On a national level, the ASRF has recently arranged a National Insurance cover for all of its Technical Advisory Committees. This has been a hard won achievement, and is further evidence of the respectability that the ASRF and its committees and groups now enjoys at official levels.
