BROTHERHOOD BY-LAWS

 

Let it be known that these are the By-Laws and Regulations to quide and strengthen THE PRISON BROTHERHOOD OF RIKERS here after refered to as THE P.B.B..

 

The Officers of this BROTHERHOOD shall serve a term of one year in his elected office, and elections shall be heldon an annual basis to be set for the first Sunday of June. Nominations shall be made one week before the elections. All Patch-holders shall be eligible for any office, and may nominate any other Patch-holder for any Officers position.

 

(1). The office of the President shall be required to perform the following duties;

A. The President shall oversee all Officers and their duties and direct and advise such as needed and/or requested.

B. The President shall oversee all proceedings and meetings and shall make all final decisions concerning and reflecting upon the P.B.B..

C. The President shall select a Sgt. of Arms to provide security for the President, and to provide security for the general membership.

D. The President will be required to put his personal feelings aside for the betterment of the P.B.B..

E. The President shall at all timesbe required to listen to the ideas and gripes from all members and weigh them with the due care deserving for the advancement and/or betterment of the P.B.B..

F. The President shall be required to be prepared for all arising circumstances.

 

(2). The office of Vice President;

A. The member holding this office will assist the Chapter President in all his specified duties as so designated by the President.

B. The Vice President will assume all presidential duties and decisions in the absence of the Chapter President. He will receive all respect and honor accorded to the Chapter President.

 

(3). The Office of the Secretary/Treasurer;

A. To oversee all monies and transactions for the advancement of the Treasury.

B. Shall insure and work with the Sgt. at Arms in insuring thar all transactions and dues are paid on time.

C. Shall collect all monies and products for the Treasury and distribute same to members as they are needed or requested.

D. Shall keep the President informed of any and all transactions or ideas involving the P.B.B..

E. Shall maintain an ongoing record of all monies owed and/or on hand. Also, a statement shall be provided to make it clear what transpired on any given transaction by order of the Chapter President.

 

(4). The Office of Sergeant at Arms;

A. This position is not an elected office but is appointed by the Chapter President.

B. His duties consist of providing security to the President at all times.

C. Opening and closing all chapter meetings. He is also to maintain order at said meetings.

D. He is to work in conjunction with the Sec/Treas. in the capacity of collecting late dues and outstanding debts owed to the chapter treasury.

E. He is to provide security for the membership, along with any other duties specified by the Chapter President.

 

(5). General Membership;

A. Membership will be attained after a minimum of a 3 month probate period and a 100% yes vote by all present members.

B. All members will carry themselves with pride in who they are and what they represent. They will follow the code this Brotherhood stands for and exercise discretion at all times.

C. All members will give due respect to all officers and for the office which they hold.

D. All members making personal business transactions will donate something.

E. No member will discuss business while a non-member is present.

F. No member will indulge in injecting mind altering drugs (NO SHOOTING DRUGS!!)

G. All members or prospective members working within the proper guidelines will receive full support by all members.

H. Any member lucky enough to find himself once again on the free side will give assistance to the down brothers and will make arrangements for their needs.

 

(6). Prospective Membership;

A. All prospective members will serve a minimum of 3 months prospecting time before being considered for membership.

B. A prospective member must be sponsored by a full member and schooled into our ways and lifestyle by aformentioned sponsor. Any fuck-ups by the probate will be dealt with by his sponsor.

C. A unanimous vote is mandatory for approval of a prospective member.A member voting no will give reason therefore upon the second tally of votes.

D. All prospects will be required to provide indictment paperwork or some other material to verify his charges.
