COLORS.

Is the term used when referring to a gang member representing his or her 
membership by wearing a gang logo, particular colors of clothing, particular 
brand name of clothing or clothing worn in a specific manner.This may also 
include hair styles, jewelry or even the way a person stands, walks or folds 
his arms and hands.
Colors identify the gang member and shows member pride in affiliation.

        

HAND SIGNALS AND GANG SLANG.

Are means of communication. Symbols formed with the fingers, hands, and / or
body have specific meaning to the gang. Also specific buzz words or phrases
are used which have specific meaning to the gang. These may be unique to
that area, or similar to other geographic regions. However the meaning may
be drastically different.


Note: these are gangs found in NYC, I mention these as a warning, that they
could filter up into the state prison system, in order to combat future problems
