The 328 was probably the most advanced affordable sports cars before the war. This 6-cylinder. 3 carburettor sports/racing car developed 80 bhp and could reach 150 km/h. In competition trim the top speed was well over 100 mph. BMW developed more streamlined cars for competion and after the war Veritas built on 328 innards. The 328 and other sporting BMWs were imported to England, fitted with right-hand steering and marketed as Frazer Nash-B.M.W. |
