| After designing the most powerful rotary aero engine used in WW I, W.O. Bentley returned to cars. Aided by F.T. Burgess he designed a 4-cylinder 16-valve o.h.c. engine. Helped by a series of victories at Le Mans and its good looks and high quality it sold well until the hard times after 1929 robbed it of its clientele. 3061 were sold between 1922 and 1931 and most of them seem to have survived. |
