Juergen Wittmann's Evo

Juergen Wittmann

My good friend Juergen Wittman is looking forward to buy the great Movit brakes kit, but to take advantage of the discount price, he is looking for another 4 persons who would like to buy the Movit brakes kit and also take advantage of the discount price. Remember that there must be 4 persons + Juergen (at least 5) so that Movit will give him the discount. If interested please contact him at [email protected]. For more covincing power, visit the very sexy Mov'it's Lancia pages.

Details

I bought the car in November 1992. My EVO is a 16 valve without catalyst and 210 HP. This model was not official offered in Germany. At this time you could only find the 8 valve with 180 HP in the dealers price list.

After 10.000 km I brought the car to the tuner AM Holzer Motorsport. In Germany this is a well known Lancia tuner. The recommendation from Holzer was first drive about 10.000 km then tune it. Holzer installed stronger head bolts, changed the electronic box, raised the charge pressure, installed a new exhaust manifold and adjusted this on the power break. After the tuning the car had 304 HP. This was more than the standard shock-absorber could handle. So I have installed a Koni-Eibach suspension, a rear aluminum dome strut and 8 x 17" OZ Mito with 235/40x17 Michelin MXX3. For the breaks I have installed in front OMP break disks (drilled and grooved) and Ferrodo break pads. In the interior I've installed a Heiko cage, Recaro SP-G seats with Schroth five point racing seat belts. Additional to the Holzer tuning I've installed a Sparco air cleaner and a pop off valve.

To drive this combination makes a lot of fun but the most of time the car is in the garage. I want to preserve the car for a long time so I drive about 2.000 km per year. It is also expensive to drive the car. It takes about 30 liters per 100 km.

About the acceleration: I don't know it but Rally Racing, a car magazine in Germany, tested the version without exhaust manifold with 4,7 sec. from 0 to 100 Km/h. The sprint from 80 to 180 Km/h with the best gears took between 12 and 13 seconds.

The car cost DM 55.500,- and the additional parts include tuning round about DM 20.000.

At the moment I've driven 18.000 km without any problems. The Evo is my 4th Integrale I've bought.
